Mark the work area

Drag a box over the part of the yard this job will change — the lawn, patio or beds. Lining up then ignores it and locks onto what stays the same around it: house, fence, trees, curb, driveway. People walking through are ignored automatically.

Before photo

Truck alert

Every time your iPhone connects to the truck’s Bluetooth, it checks whether any job still needs after photos — and alerts you (out loud too, if you like) before you drive off. If everything’s done, it stays quiet.

One-time setup in the Shortcuts app (about 2 minutes)

  1. Open the Shortcuts app → Automation tab (bottom) → + / New Automation.
  2. Scroll to Bluetooth → tap Device → choose your truck → keep Is Connected.
  3. Choose Run Immediately (and turn off Notify When Run) → Next → New Blank Automation.
  4. Add action Get Contents of URL → tap URL → paste your link.
  5. Add action If → set it to: Contents of URL · contains · still need.
  6. Inside the If (before “Otherwise”), add Show Notification → tap the text → pick Contents of URL.
  7. Optional: also add Speak Text → Contents of URL, so it says it through the truck speakers.
  8. Tap Done. If iPhone asks to allow Shortcuts notifications, tap Allow.

What the note contains: job names, how many angles are missing afters and when they’re due — never photos. It lives on your own Cloudflare account and only your private link can read it.

Highest asks Safari for the largest camera frame it offers. Use Standard if the preview stutters.

Backup

Photos live only on this iPhone (in the app’s storage). Back up now and then, especially before deleting the app or switching phones.

About

How to line up a shot

  1. Stand where you think the before photo was taken and hold the phone the same way (upright or sideways).
  2. Follow the big instruction at the top. The arrow points where to aim; the dashed box shows where the before photo sits — make it fill the screen edges.
  3. Tilt and rotate use the phone’s motion sensors (only for befores taken in this app). Step closer/back and aim come from matching what the camera sees — fence lines, house corners, trees and curbs work best; new turf or pavers are ignored automatically.
  4. When the ring turns green it’s lined up — tap the shutter (or turn on Auto).
  5. Green dots are the stable points it's locking onto. For lawn jobs, open the angle's ⋯ menu → Mark work area and box the lawn: lining up then uses only what stays the same (house, fence, trees). Crew walking through is ignored.
  6. The ghost fades as you get close, so you see the real scene when you shoot (Settings → Fade the ghost).
  7. Ghost styles: Photo (see-through), Edges (outline only — great in bright sun), Wipe (drag the line), Blink. Hold the thumbnail to peek at the full before.
